Overall, this swing has been incredible and validating on many levels:
- I did well in all of my features performance wise (Richmond, Green Mill, Quimby’s, Normal)
- I hung with three A-Listers as part of a super bill of features at the Mill
- I didn’t get snapped off stage or stomped off stage at the Mill
- I got to rock Normal and hang out with the Magnusons.
I’m glad I waited this long to finally branch out and do this. I wasn’t ready before the book, wasn’t sure of myself and my performance abilities. I like where I’m heading and it may not be to a championship or a finals appearance, but it will still be entertaining and interesting. I’ll probably post setlists and what not over here over the weekend. I have a lot to catch up on.
Thank you to everyone I got to see and hear and hang out with. I hope it doesn’t take another seven years to come back to Chicago.
