Setlist Bonanza

Hey y’all, here are all of my setlists from my Richmond-Chicago-Normal swing.

Encore: Do What You Want Me To Do

4/5/2010 – Quimby’s Bookstore, Chicago

I didn’t do a good job with this one in terms of tracking.  I added poems into my setlist since I was able to run longer than scheduled because of my intimate turnout.  However, I ensured that most of the poems I performed were not in my Green Mill setlist.

4/6/2010 – The Coffeeshop, Normal

  1. Tailor Made
  2. Stellar
  3. On Writing “How An Autobot Sunk The Titanic”
  4. Why The Minotaur Remained A Virgin
  5. Wookie Haiku
  6. For The White Boys Who Believe They Beatbox Well
  7. Pre-Nuptial Agreement
  8. These Are Vows

Thank you to everyone who booked me, who came out to see me, who bought a copy of Dodging Traffic, who housed me and fed me.

Shows coming up:

Saturday, April 17, 11:00am – Poets on Parade (Orlando Public Library – Main Branch, 101 E. Central Blvd.): Step out and celebrate National Poetry Month with a parade of local poets reading their work. Featured poets include: Jesse Bradley, Valada Flewellyn, Alice Friedman, Estelle Libb, Linda Everett Moyé and Chris O’Riordan-Adjah. Book sale and signing follow poetry reading.  Note: Because this is a library, I have to do the world’s safest setlist.  Come see me achieve the impossible.

Tuesday, May 4, 10:30pm – Poets Anonymous: Delray Beach Poetry Slam (Dada 52 N Swindon Ave).  This is their last chance slam for their team selection season and I am co-featuring with Asia.  It’s free to get in to Florida’s longest running poetry slam.

Saturday, June 19, 2:00pm – Prick of the Spindle/DOGZPLOT Reading (Dolce Vita, 309 S. Reus St, Pensacola, FL).  Here’s some info about this blockbuster show:

Prick of the Spindle’s Cynthia Reeser and Barry Graham of Dogzplot host a reading in sunny Florida.

Anticipated guest readers:

  • Jason Cook of Ampersand Books
  • J. Bradley, author of Dodging Traffic & slam poetry king (editor’s note: this is so not true.  I am a fool in slam poetry at best)
  • Dawn Corrigan of Girls with Insurance and The Nervous Breakdown
  • Elizabeth Westmark, nonfiction author
  • Erin McKnight, award-winning fiction writer and Prick of the Spindle Fiction Editor
  • Amy Riddell, author of Narcissistic Injury

…and more

Finally:

“How To Listen To Black Metal Critically” is up at Girls With Insurance here.

My flash piece, “The Serial Rapist Sitting Behind You Is A Robot”, is up on Trick With A Knife over here.

I have a blowjob mishap story at Sleep. Snort. Fuck. over here.

Come listen to the Barbaric yAWP podcast party here.
